Where is Henderson County?

Henderson County is strategically located along the I-26 corridor which provides a direct interstate connection to I-40, I-81 and I-85 and access to I-77 and I-95.  I-26 begins at the Port of Charleston (about 4 hours away) in South Carolina and extends near Johnson City, Tennessee where it connects with I-81.  October's issue of Business Xpansion Journal stated that North Carolina's location "puts it within 700 miles of 170 million U.S. and Canadian consumers; 65 of the country's top 100 metro areas; and 58.2 percent of total U.S. retail sales."

Interstates and Major Highways in Henderson County

Interstate 26- Runs east/west through the county, connecting to Interstate 40 in Asheville, to Interstate 85 in Spartanburg, SC, and to Interstate 81 in Johnson City, TN

US Highway 25- Travels north/south from Asheville through downtown Hendersonville and southward to Greenville, SC

US Highway 64- Travels east/west connecting Hendersonville with Chimney Rock and Lake Lure in Rutherford County to the east and Brevard in Transylvania County to the west

NC Highway 280- Runs east/west through the northwestern part of the county and connects with Transylvania and Buncombe Counties
